Pricing Policy

All of our prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST (Goods and services tax).

Privacy Policy

Road Jet is committed to keeping your details private. Any information, we collect in relation to you, is kept strictly secured. We do not pass on/sell/swap any of your personal details with anyone. The only time we may pass on information is if we are required by law to do so in relation to your trip or for insurance purposes if required.

Security Policy

When purchasing from Road Jet your financial details are passed through a secure server using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology.128-bit SSL encryption is the current industry standard.

RESERVATIONS

Road Jet will not guarantee availability on any scheduled services unless an advanced booking and/or payment has been made. Internet bookings will be accepted up to 6 hours prior to departure. Telephone bookings will be accepted up to an hour prior to departure subject to driver availability and requires full payment. We accept no responsibility for the accuracy of passenger itineraries.

AMENDMENTS

If you want to reschedule your booking a 6-hour notice from your scheduled booking time is required and can be done by contacting us.

DEPARTURES

Passengers are required to be at the departure pick up address within 15 minutes of the booking pick up time.

DEPARTURE NO SHOW/CANCELLATION

Driver will contact the passenger after 15 min waiting time is over. After the 15 minute wait time from the scheduled pick up time is over the driver may leave and a 100% cancellation fee may apply to the passenger.

LUGGAGE AND BAGGAGE

Includes all items, which accompany passengers whilst travelling on board Road Jet. Road Jet accepts no liability for lost, stolen or damaged luggage and baggage during transit or at pick up/drop off locations. Our vehicles are family size sedans. Our luggage capacity is only what would fit in a family size sedan. Road Jet reserves the right to refuse to carry any luggage or other personal effects without justification.

CONDUCT

Passengers are required to conduct themselves in a manner acceptable to normal community standards. Aggressive or disorderly conduct displayed toward any other passengers or driver will not be tolerated and passengers may be refused entry or required to disembark at any time during transit. As a result of refusal to board or removal during transit a 100% cancellation fee will apply and will be the sole responsibility of the person who made the booking.

DRUGS and ALCOHOL

Road Jet reserves the right to refuse entry or require a passenger to disembark at any time during transit if the passenger/s appear, in the opinion of the driver allocated, to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. Any costs incurred to the passenger/s as a result of refusal to board or removal during transit will be the sole responsibility of the passenger who made the booking and a 100% cancellation fee may apply. Consumption of alcohol and illegal drugs is not permitted on transfers. Smoking is not permitted on transfers.

PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES/SPECIAL NEEDS

Passengers are required to advise Road Jet of any special needs including assistance with boarding/disembarking. We will wherever possible try to accommodate passenger needs. Any passenger that requires more than minimal assistance from the driver to board/disembark may be required to be accompanied by a carer. Any assistance from the driver is at the driver’s discretion to avoid injury to the driver. Registered guide dogs are welcome to travel with their owner. Prior advice when booking is requested.

UNACCOMPANIED MINORS

Bookings will not be accepted for unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 years old. A legal guardian must be with the minor when boarding and disembarking. If no guardian is present or able to accompany the minor a 100% cancellation fee is applicable.

DELAYS

In the instance of any delay caused by a natural disaster, vehicle breakdown, traffic or any other event that would reasonably cause a delay, Road Jet will not be liable for any cost/expenses the customer may have incurred from the delay. Road Jet will however accommodate the customer as best as reasonably possible by sending another vehicle in the case of a breakdown. Each incident will be treated on a case-by-case basis and it is up to the discretion of Road Jet on what further action is required.

TRAVELING WITH INFANT

Road jet does not provide an infant seat or any attachments.

SCHEDULES CHANGE AND PRICE CHANGE

Road Jet reserves the right to vary schedules and prices without notice. All prices quoted are subject to change.

BOOKINGS

Customer bookings must be through our website.

CANCELLATION / ALTERATION FEES

The following fees will be charged following the cancellation of the booking:

  • Less than 6 hours notice – 100% Cancellation Fee
  • Less than 12 hours notice – 50% Cancellation

Fee $50 AUD late fee after half an hour from scheduled booking time.

The following fees will be changed for alterations of the booking.

  • More then 12 hours notice – No charges apply
  • Less then 12 hours notice - $50 AUD
  • Less then 6 hours notice - $100 AUD

For alterations you must contact us.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Any extra stops may incur a $50 - $100 AUD fee if Road Jet believes a detour is requested by the passenger. Maximum of 1 stop en route, which is 15 minutes maximum otherwise it maybe be charged in addition at a rate of $50 an hour.

The customer agrees on booking confirmation and commencement that the price charged by Road Jet for provision of the services detailed will be amended for any additional time and/or distance provided on the day or total duration of the hire. Additional charges will be calculated on a pro-rata basis and will depend on the extent of the additional time provided.

If additional time is requested at time of booking, a fee of $50/hour will be charged. We do not guarantee to provide additions or amendments during the hire period. Any such variation will only be considered and will be subject to, time taken, legal driving hours, deviation from route, knowledge of the area by the driver and the driver’s agreement in consultation with our Management staff.

Our decision in such matters will be final. We reserve the right to impose additional charges for cleaning the interior of any vehicle that is in our sole judgment left in an unsatisfactory manner either during or at the conclusion of a booking period. This also applies to wilful damage by passengers to either the interior or exterior of the vehicle. Road Jet may refuse to allow any passenger to board or travel on any service where in the opinion of the driver that the passenger is in breach of any of the terms and conditions listed.

GENERAL TERMS

Road Jet is subject to Point to Point and Access Canberra regulations. Road Jet reserves the right to enforce its legal obligation in compliance with the law in all aspects of our booking provision irrespective of customer requests, conduct, actions or other circumstances affecting the provision of this booking. This includes, but is not limited to, our right to:

  • Refuse entry to the vehicle or require a passenger to disembark at any time during transit if the passenger/s appear, in the opinion of the driver, to be intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Stop consumption of hot food or drink, alcohol or tobacco products in the vehicle.
  • Ensure domestic pets are not allowed into a vehicle unless caged correctly, and prior agreement to transport has been obtained from Road Jet in writing. Registered guide dogs are exempt.
  • Obey road speed restrictions irrespective of unscheduled delays in transit.
  • Stop to render assistance to others when judged in the public interest for safety or rescue.
  • Report to authorities any person acting in a manner that endangers others
  • Refuse to carry dangerous, flammable or illegal items/goods on any part of a passenger/person or the vehicle.
  • Determine the suitability and nature of any luggage or items intended to be carried by, or for, passengers on or within the vehicle cabin or storage areas and to refuse such items deemed as unacceptable. We take no responsibility for luggage lost or damaged whilst being handled, on tour or any time in transit; all items carried are at the owner’s risk.
  • Render first aid in the best interest of passengers and take such measures deemed necessary to enlist assistance in an emergency from any available services. Costs of such emergency service provision rest with the passenger/s.
  • Maintain legal driving hours and driver rest periods in line with current regulations.
  • At our discretion remove waiting vehicles from a booking pick up point due to passengers being overdue by time exceeding 20 minutes, with or without notification by the passenger or representative of such a delay. Due to other operational commitments this may result in job cancellation.

EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY:

Road Jet will take all reasonable steps to provide to the passengers, the services outlined above and on our website. Road Jet accepts no liability for:

  • Substitution of vehicle for reasons beyond our control;
  • Any loss of enjoyment experienced by passengers due to circumstances beyond its control;
  • Loss or damage to clothing and/or luggage;
  • Failure to meet connections due to unexpected delays;
  • Any other costs incurred by the passengers/customer;
  • Third party claims associated with the booking; and
  • Acts of Force Majeure.

By placing your booking with Road Jet you acknowledge that you have read and are fully aware of our Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
